Welding Inspectors Stopwatch calculates heat input (kJ/in) and welding travel speed (in/min) by averaging the amps and volts input by the user while the stopwatch runs. Its designed for an inspector or welding operator to confirm the actual heat input of a weld to that specified by the welding procedure.
Heat input may also be calculated manually using one of the three built-in calculators.
Features:
a) A stopwatch designed for on-the-fly measurement of heat input and travel speed based on amps, volts, and travel speed
b) Three manual calculators, that solve for:
1) kJ/in (manually) based on travel distance, time, amps and volts
2) Distance to travel in a known time while staying under the permitted heat input
3) Maximum time permitted to weld a known distance within the maximum heat input
c) Settings that allow for stopwatch customization and an easy setup wizard
d) An offline User Manual for quick reference to app documentation anytime
